A Longitudinal Test of the Perfectionism Social Disconnection Model

What is the study about?

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perfectionism and social disconnection in university students. The aim of this study was to test the Perfectionism Social Disconnection Model to examine whether perfectionism leads to social disconnection through off-putting interpersonal behaviours and the anticipation of rejection as theorised by the Perfectionism Social Disconnection Model.

Who is eligible to participate in this study?

First year university students from Macquarie University are eligible to participate in this study.

Do participants get paid for participating in this study?

Participants will be renumerated with course credit for participating in the study.
