Anxiety Treatment in Australia

What is the study about?

The purpose of this study is to investigate Australian Psychologists' use of different therapeutic components in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders, (including specific phobia, panic disorder/agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder). Further, we are investigating a clinician’s training background and perceived barriers to implementing treatment for anxiety disorders. We are looking at provision of treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

Who is eligible to participate in this study?

Participants must be over 18 years old, who have regular access to the internet. Participants must also work in Australia, be registered as a psychologist with AHPRA (general or with an area of practice endorsement), and have treated a client for an anxiety disorder within the past 12 months).

Do participants get paid for participating in this study?

This study involves a 30-minute survey. Participants who complete the survey have the option to provide their email at the end of the survey to enter a draw to win one of 10 $150 vouchers. To be eligible for the lottery, participants must be willing to provide their provider identification number to verify their identity. This helps us ensure that only registered psychologists actually participate in this study.
